Have you looked at the Abit IS7 Mobo? Best Mobo for the money. For your info Intel is releasing dual core Cpus mid 2005. In time for your next upgrade. Me I'm waiting for 2006.

the only firm thing taht anyone can go buy now is taht there wil be opterons at 90nm by september 30th, the end of the 3rd quarter. there has been no hard facts that said otherwise, of course there are always rumors of delays, but officially amd says its on track to meet the deadline. your waiting anyway, so youll get to see for yourself. if the 90nm opterons come as expected, then the desktop part wont be THAT far behind, but you could be right about 05 for desktop cpus, there just isnt any evidence either way.

as for the nforce 4, your right, its slated for a q4 04 release, i was thinking about the via k8t890 and sis chipsets for pci-e, those are coming in the 3rd quarter i belive.

what it comes donw to, is if oyu dont care anything about pci-e, stick with the s754 choice, youll do fine till you upgrade in a couple years, agp cards arent going anywhere for that time. and by then youll have your choice of amd or intel dual core chips, and the battle will continue... lol
