Im building a new system with a AMD X2 4800, Ive been reading some articles and some state that 64 Windows optomizes multi processors alot better? My main question is this, im mainly a gamer and I dabble in home music recording, is 64 the way to go?? Will it not make a difference to me?? Will games run better on it, will certain games not run? I plan on running a Geforce 7900 will finding 64 drivers be a problem? Any advice appreciated, im really confused on the new windows 64, even after reading microsofts facts etc.

So far the only real benefit I grasp is the ridiculous amounts of ram the system can take advantage of for buisness / server applications.

Thanks in advance!! :D

dual boot xp 32 bit with 64 bit.
unless you have 64 bit programs you wont fully take advantage of xp 64.
32 bit programs will run just fine on xp 64 bit though.
Some components dont have 64 bit drivers yet. Its touch and go on which ones have them.
if you already have xp pro then just buy the 64 bit oem with some hardware.
DO NOT TRADE IN YOUR XP 32 BIT LICENSE FOR A 64 BIT LICENSE.

I'd still go with 32 bit XP, only reason I went 64 bit XP is because I got 10 legal copys from Uncle Billy for US$300 + a crap load of other software, and figured might as well try it out.
