Hi folks, I'm new to this group so I beg of you to forgive the ignorant
questions. I haven't been able to find a group FAQ for RGRN so I have a few
questions.

First, if there is a FAQ, could i be directed to it, it would save you guys
a lot of trouble as Im' sure most of the questions I have could be answered
there.

The only real question I have is the Nethack specific abbreviations. Like,
YASD, YAFAR, YAAP, for example. The item ones are easy enough to understand
if one knows the complete inventory of Nethack well enough. I've been
playing this game for a very long time, but have never ascended.

Thanks folks. I look forward to reading and posting to this group in the
future.

Look in the From: header.

The FAQ is posted about twice every month. I believe the next time is on
the twentysixth.

There you'll find the FAQ, but also lots of spoilers.

These are in the FAQ (except for YAFAR: you probably mean YAFAP).

YASD yet another stupid death
YAFAP yet another first ascension post
YAAD yet another annoying death
YANI yet another nifty idea

Other interpretations are also possible.

By the way, it's Schroedinger's Cat, not Schrodinger's Cat...

I've read the entire original post, but I can't find it: why this remark?

He was commenting on the guy's e-mail address.

Thanks.

I know. Its actually Schrodinger's Cat, with the two dots over the 'o'. I
just left them off. Phenetically it would be more accurate to write 'oe'

This is how it gets spelled in countless Quantum Physics books, no doubt
written by authors who couldn't get the two dots over the 'o' either. In
the sport of Dr. Schroedinger's remarkable achievements, I would like to
believe that both spellings are right, depending on the observers native
language. My apologies if I have offended.
