I have an AMD 2200+ T'bred Rev B, Mfg date week 46 '03.
Can this processors multipliers be unlocked by filling in
the pits on the L1 bridges
and using conductive paint to connect those bridges?
If not, how can they be unlocked, if at all.
I have read that this will work, but would like your input.
Thanks

I don't believe there is a know way to unlock that chip.

Why are you so sure it is locked?
I have an XP2400 manu 03 week 49. Following the poopular consesus that
anything after approx 03 39 was locked, I thought I could only tweak FSB. It
may (my thoughts here) be Bartons only at that point.

Dunno why, but I gave it more juice and changed multis and away she went. My
chip is indeed unlocked.
Try it, you may be surprised,

Eternally curious,

Garry

I believe that cpu is unlock, im playing around with mine and goes from
11x to 12.5 @166fsb well after 12.5 it will lock. just to say the
multiflier is unlock. by the way if i use 133fsb it will go up to
14xmultiplier

Nope. It was definately hard locked. Any attempt to change
multipliers
was unsuccsessful. The best I could get out of it was
13.5x148 with stock cooling.
It was on a MSI KT4V VIA based board, so going any over that
screwed
big time with PCI and AGP busses. I put that MB into
another machine I'm
building for my daughter, and have a 2800+ in it.

Now I'm running an AMD 2600+ Mobile on an AN35N Ultra board.
It's running at 11x200 @ 1.5 volts for a slight OC and temps
are low. Still using the
old Kingston PC2700 memory at 166 though. Today I'm going
to try
the memory at 200Mhz. I know it will OC to that speed, I'm
just going to tweak timings and check for stability.
