Plan on buying most of my parts from them and want to know if these guys are as good as they seem to be?

Thanks,
Rax

NewEgg is my main supplier.
Quality parts, fresh stock, quick shipping, and great selections.

Bought nearly everything from them for years. They're the best.

I'd only shop with them if you want good prices, good service, and fast ship times. If you're looking for something different than that, beware.

I have bought nearly all of my computer hardware from newegg and they have been good for everything but cases. I must advise that you not buy a case from them. Maybe it is just the fedex in my area or something but every case I have gotten from them has been mutilated somehow. One case came completely flat like a truck ran over it :)

They are as good as they seem to be. In all of my frustration the last couple weeks I got a bad psu. Connected everything right, and the motherboard went poof. Sent the motherboard thinking it was the motherboard. They sent me a new one. Poof, lost the second one, they even replaced the second one. (I learned something from this though, always check your POWER SUPPLY) 😛

I have ordered my case from newegg and it was perfect so I don't know why yours have been so messed up. But Yea NewEgg is the best site to by your computer stuff at. Always fast and relable.

Wow amazing how many thg users are newegg employees
lol
Newegg is good along with amazon

newegg.com is the best site on the web for computer components as far as I am concerned, I buy almost everything from them....keep up the good work newegg

Newegg is great to use as far as their drop down search criteria formats and the user reviews. After you settle on the product you want, go to zipzoomfly.com and buy the exact same thing for less, and get free 2nd day shipping on almost everything but cases!

Turn around time is the same, RMA is the same, service is the same. I don't see why everyone is so hyped up about newegg when zipzoomfly does it cheaper with free 2nd day.

i will ONLY buy off newegg, they are insane....... i shop there atleast! once a month if not more.... im constantly getting cd-rs and my dvd's from them 100pack 8x dvd-r for 40$ and 100pk cd-r 700mb 48x for 19$ !!! you can't go wrong man, you just gotta love'em

NEWEGG ROCKS..

Asus A7N8X Deluxe
80gb Maxtor
200gb WD 8mb cache..
Lian-Li PC-60
LiteOn 52X/LiteOn 811s DVD-RW
AMD XP2800+
LeadTek GF4Ti4200 128mb
Hitachi CML174
1GB Corsair XMS PC3200

zipzoomfly is also very good but they are not always as fast to ship stuff as newegg in my experience, that said nwegg has seemed to be hiking its shipping costs a little bit lately, im a die hard newegg fan tho, once you start using a company which is as reliable as newegg is it is tough to break the cycle as they are that damn good.....
Just bought 74Gb WD Raptor 10000rpm sata and 17" sony lcd from newegg, got the stuff a day ahead of schedule for both items and they also mailed me out without request a free gift (not the free gift which I got when i bought the hard drive, this one is coming straight from customer service) =))

If your going to make a statement like that, get your facts straight or keep it to yourself. Try doing a little more research, and if you would like to challenge me on this go right ahead and I will show you how wrong you are. ZipZoomFly is cheaper sometimes but not always, and in my experience newegg is usually a little cheaper. Guess what, so are some other companies at times. I buy most of my products from Newegg, and a small percent from ZipZoomFly and a few others, but as far as overall prices and more importantly the service that they provide Newegg is great.

Hey, newbie here. This may sound silly, but I haven't found the reply button yet. So even though I replied directly to your post, I wasn't actually speaking directly to you.

Anyhow, if you do want to do this, go ahead and name a product. I will look it up at Newegg and Zipzoomfly, add in second day delivery for both, and we will see which one is cheaper. Of course there will always be differences, but I bet zipzoomfly is cheaper.

And I know I have extremely limited experience with zzf, but all 5 orders I have placed with them have arrived on the second day folliwing the day I placed the order. Granted, I place my orders on the weekend, so they are in zzf's queue when they reopen on Monday morning. I don't know how quick they could turn an order around if you placed an order at 4:30 PM in the evening.

Anyhow... product name?

Also, I better clarify this too... the retail prices between the two companies are very competitive. Where zzf betters newegg in price is the 2nd day shipping. I think the only things zzf does not offer free second day shipping is monitors and cases.

I built my new pc almost entirely from zzf, and I saved myself almost $100. I could see that if you are ordering just a single item here and there, you would be willing to spend a few extra bucks to go with your trusted supplier.

I'm just hoping zzf sticks with the free 2nd day shipping, I love getting my stuff so quickly and for free.

They're both good. The prices are generally the same. A quick look at a 3500+ retail socket 939 shows a $2 difference and $2 difference in shipping. That's not a big deal to me considering all the good shopping I've done with Newegg. Newegg has a better rating with resellerratings.com and I've never had a problem with them.

Also, why did they change their name from googlegear?

That's an easy one- there was a trademark conflict. They lost.

heck, I live in Iowa, when I do purchase online I usually buy from newegg. I just ordered on a friday afternoon using the free shipping. they said they would process the order withing 24-48 hours not including weekends. if I remember right I had it on Tuesday.

go ahead and get all mushy over the free 2nd day shipping even if it means one more day. guess I don't really understand your point on that

I have had a few problems ordering from Newegg, but it was always due to a defect in the hardware. I cannot say if it was because of a manufacture's error or (as a friend adamantly states) poor handling by Newegg. One thing is for certain: even if you end up with a bad part, Newegg's return policy and procedures are as painless and customer-friendly as they come, methinks.
