As mentioned my computer won't power up. I'm getting power to the mobo, the power button lights up on it. Double checked my case wires, they seem to be in order. HDD is all plugged in. I have an antec 902...it has a sata wire, whats that for exactly? as i already have a wire from my hdd to my mobo. any suggestions or more info needed? thanks.

Have you tried the standard troubleshooting thread for "my computer won't boot" over in the homebuilt forums?

If you've tried everything there, let us know. It's a good quick guide to get anything usual or obvious out of the way. You've probably been though it all. But just to double check.

Anyway, past that, your total system specs would be useful.

Even if the hard drive is not plugged in, you should still reach the bios. You are saying nothing displays on the monitor at all?

Don't know what you mean by your case having a sata wire. Are you sure it's a sata cable?

I'm not getting anything when i turn on the power, no noise from my comp....i've tried some of the things listed in the homebuilt forum, will try the rest. also what i meant was there is a cable from my case that was with the rest and it says serial ata on it. which is why i wondering if it went anywhere or if it was for somethin else.
seems like overlooking something simple. hopefully :)

Hopefully. My friend actually has the exact same problem. I just asked him about it and couldn't think of anything after asking the basics. The CPU fan and everything worked but there was no monitor output.

well i unplugged cables pluggd em back in securely, reset the cmos...tried it again and it still doesnt power up at all. however i did notice a blue light flash real quick, it was by the cpu/4-8 plug in, pretty sure it hasn't done that before.

nothin powers upfor me at all, fans etc...i figured my case cords would be the most likely problem, but i've checked it numerous times. i have them plugged into the little adaptor that camewit my mobo, and its all labled.
