I just sent my non working ram sticks to Taiwan for rma. They replaced with the same model but the version numbers are different from the ram I sent to them for rma. I inserted it into my PC but it failed to boot. Switched to my standby ram sticks and it booted immediately. Tried again and still the same result. Is it a motherboard compatibility issue due to different ram versions of the same model? What should I do with the new replaced ram which do not work? Sending it back for another replacement will incur further shipping costs. I am puzzled as it couldn't be the reason that they replaced it with a faulty ram kit as it was factory sealed or could it?

MSI MAG B550M MORTAR MAX WIFI
AMD RYZEN 7 5700X
SEASONIC FOCUS GX-750W
CORSAIR DOMINATOR PLATINUM DDR4 3200MHZ CL16
GIGABYTE AERO RTX 4060
SK HYNIX PLATINUM P41 2TB
GIGABYTE AORUS GEN 4 7000S 1TB

Hello!

Like COLGeek said, you could try a BIOS CMOS reset.
Push the CMOS Reset button (if you have such button), or turn off your PC, unplug it from the wall.
Push the Power On button to drain the system of any power left, then remove the CMOS battery.
Then, re-insert the battery in its socket.
Power on the PC.
See if the issue got solved.

Did exactly that. Still the same result. Looks like I may need to RMA for the second time. They probably rma a faulty pair for me.

Looks like I'll need to rma the second time. I feel that it may no longer be worth the shipping cost not knowing if they would be sending a good working pair of ram.

I'll probably sell it off on ebay and get a new kit from Micro center.

Assuming this is a 2 stick kit use just one stick of the kit in the proper slot see if the machine will boot.

Then rerun the test with the other stick.

Disabling EXPO profiles and just using default settings hasn't made a difference?
Sadly no. It constantly got stuck at the Windows loading screen and restarts again until I've cut the power to it.

It can't be my OS either otherwise it might not had worked with my old ram.

Posted the same question at another forum. A few replies said that I had gotten bad sticks from Corsair.

I would be willing to bet the sticks are fine test both in slot slot 2 if they both post in slot 2 then it's MSI crappy memory support as I had 2 sticks of patriot ram that did same thing and they post fine in my gigabyte board that I use for testing.
MSI motherboards post pretty slow too compared to my previous Asus board. The ram compatibility list for this MSI board is quite short. It perhaps work better with certain die but not the other and the different die from different batches determines the difference whether I will get a post or not. I remember buying new ram kits for my Asus board and they worked right away without memory training. I believe more on what you have mentioned is true.

From this forum alone alot of the issues are msi board related sadly.

ATM I only ever recommend asrock and gigabyte.

Asus I used to but there dodgy business practices I refuse to use them.

Ryzen is very picky about ram compatibility.
There will be many bios updates relating to ram compatibility.
Verify that your bios is current.
Verify that the ram is inserted into the preferred slots for two sticks as found in the motherboard manual.

Check the motherboard ram QVL list to see if the rma part number is on the supported list.
Or, if the kit is explicitly supported on your mobo/cpu combo on the corsair ram selection app.

Not all similarly specked ram will be compatible.

To test ram, run memtest; it takes windows issues out of the equation.
