Hello,

The status quo of my PC is as follows:
i7 4790
Z97-k
GTX 1660 Super
2x8GB 1600Mhz ram

As you may expect, I am planning on upgrading my CPU, MOBO, RAM and in addition I will buy a new SSD as well. The PC will be used for gaming mainly and this can mean any game that suits me. I don't necessarily mean to overclock, however, maybe in the long run it may happen, but it is not a must. I am very much leaning towards the ryzen 5 5600x (but it is a bit on the pricier side imo) , however the Intel 11th gen (especially the i5's are at a good value imo). Note that I like to have a mobo with inbuild WiFi and bluetooth (leaning towards B550 for AMD and B560 for Intel), the SSD will be a Samsung 970 Evo 1TB and the RAM preferably a cheap 3600Mhz CL 16 16GB set such as the Crucial Ballistix.

Im doubting between these CPU's (other suggestions are also welcome), reference prices in my country (Europe):
5600x = 340 Euro (does come with a rather decent cooler)
11600KF = 242 Euro (does not come with a cooler)
11400F = 160 Euro (not sure, whether it comes with a cooler, I guess not, but would need an aftermarket cooler probably)

First I was thinking about this 5600x build:
MSI MPG B550 Gaming edge Wifi
Crucial ballistix 3600mhz 16GB
Samsung 970 Evo 1tb
However, it came out a bit expensive in my opinion.

The i5 11400F for example is a steal for this value, however I would like to have the feeling that I really did a nice investment and not just went for the cheapest one, although this one might still be very good?

So my question is, what setup (CPU, MOBO, and RAM) would you advice me with a budget of around 430-530 Euro's (so for the CPU, MOBO and RAM in total), there might be a bit of a stretch in it, but money-to-value is important to me. Please, keep in mind that the MOBO needs to have WiFi and bluetooth and RAM preferably CL16 3600Mhz 16GB.

Looking forward to your suggestions :)

I have no reason to pick one brand over another.
I have used Asrock in the past and they are usually a bit cheaper.
You may find a B560 based motherboard in MATX to be some of the least expensive.
In the US, you should find one in stock for <$200.
Here is a MSI B560M which includes wifi for $140:

You can get an Asrock Z590 with wifi for $160:

On ram speed, do not chase high speeds. It makes very little difference to intel performance.
Supported speeds can be a bit confusing.
Support generally means at what speed the motherboard and cpu can use to boot into bios.
Once in the bios, you may be able to overclock(use...
Most games are graphics limited, not cpu limited.

If you are on a budget, the i5-11400f is a good deal.
It is stronger than a i5-10600K.
Here is a gaming review of the I5-10600K:

And, yes, the retail package will include a adequate cooler.
It looks like the version with integrated graphics is only about $5 more.
For insurance in case of a gpu failure, it is nice to have integrated around.

With which motherboard including wifi would you combine it? And does 3600Mhz ram work with the 11400F (as it states up to 3200Mhz)?

Once in the bios, you may be able to overclock(use xmp to do so) to higher speeds.
Z590 allows ram overclocking, and I think B560 will also.
3600 speed ram is often priced similar to 3200 speed.
If you have a good deal on 3600 speed ram, you can certainly use it.
Do not get too excited about fast ram; faster ram will also come with higher timings which will negate some of the speed difference.

Yes thanks a lot for your input. I can get a CL16 3600Mhz pretty cheap so that will be okay. Furthermore, I was thinking about this board: https://www.sicomputers.nl/asus-tuf-gaming-b560-plus-wifi-intel-b560-lga-1200-atx-id-814834.html
The Asus TUF gaming b560 plus wifi, it is priced at 160 euro's. Would that be a good board?

I am located in The Netherlands. Thanks, btw keep in mind my budget is not bad I think, but would you still advise the 11400F over the 11600KF or 5600X for example?

here local stores have ran amazing deals on the 10700 10th gen chip.

Sounds like it might be hard to get MOBO + CPU + RAM + SSD for that.

Here CPU + MB going to run 450-500 pretty easy. USD

I would sell your old computer once the new one is built so you can fit this inside your budget.

Yes its 430-530 Euro for only the MOBO, CPU and RAM, so excluding the SSD.
I will sell my old parts for sure, so the 16gb 1600Mhz ram, the i7 4790 and the Z97-K.
How much would you think it is still worth?
