via USB perhaps? Howmany midi stuff can I connect to it?

Both, how does direct 8 support midi? Several ports?
It's silly if I would still have to use my SB Live just for midi. (a 2$ addon Nvidia, it's what made Atari popular in the old days)
I pray to god that you can use midi via USB! It would make a lot of musicians very unhappy
