Looking to build a new system in the near future, and I haven't seen this question raised anywhere yet.

Can you use only one graphics card if you buy an nForce4 SLI motherboard? I know both cards must be the exact same model number and from the same vendor, but I haven't seen whether you can have an SLI board and use only one graphics card until you can afford a second.

Thanks in advance for any responses.

Yes you can. Then if you want, you can buy another 1 for SLI operation

Great - thanks for the response - guess I'll be waiting for some of the NForce4 SLI boards to come out before I put my new system together . . .

Don't lose the 'bridge' SLI connector for connecting the two vid cards if you don't plan on running dual cards right away.
