Question No audio from bluetooth or wired speakers, only USB headphones work ?

I recently purchased a new desktop gaming pc with windows 11 and ever since the first use I have not been able to get sound to play from anything but my USB headphones. I have tried a bluetooth speaker and wired speakers with a 3.5mm jack and no luck. When attempting to connect the bluetooth I could get it to connect for a few seconds and then nothing. During those few seconds it was just choppy and stuttering until it stopped. I have tried to reinstall audio drivers and but no luck there either. Also I tried the bluetooth speaker on my phone and it worked fine and a few days before getting the new PC the wired speakers worked fine on the previous computer.

When attempting to troubleshoot the audio it did say that the audio services were failing to respond even though everywhere else I looked it would say everything was running fine, but it couldn't automatically fix the problem. So I'm assuming my speakers are just fine but i can't find any details anywhere to give me a better description of the problem when it says that the audio services are not working.

I hope I was able to explain well enough. Thank you for any and all support.
Also, sorry if this is the wrong place for this post.

what make/model is the PC?
Hi Colif!
Thank you so much for replying but I just figured it out randomly not too long ago and I feel so stupid lol
Turns out I had to connect the aux cord from the speakers into my monitor.
I've never had to do that before, I've always put it into the tower itself so it never occured to me that I could even do that tbh.
Still have yet to see how that works out with the Bluetooth speakers but I'm just glad I was able to get any speakers working lol
Thanks again for taking the time to respond, it's very much appreciated.

You should have a choice, you shouldn't normally have to attach speakers to monitor, they should work plugged into back of PC. That is normal
its possible the default is set to the display since it can't see any other sound device, but there should be one on motherboard. I think even cheap boards still have sound.

Is it a prebuilt or a custom made?
If pre built, what make/model?
If custom, do you know the motherboard?

Hm I thought it seemed weird.
I forgot to mention it was recognizing that the other devices were there and I would try setting them to default but still no sound.
It's a prebuilt iBuyPower desktop
It's called "Gaming RDY SLMRG208"
All I can see on the motherboard is that it's called "B550 AC"
Hope this info is useful.

they get custom motherboards but pretty sure it should have sound on it.
does the backplate of motherboard have connectors for speakers?
thats an easy way to tell if its meant to have sound or not.

I assume it doesn't look like this
1000

Pretty sure all the sound chips on most motherboards are realtek anyway

what shows in device manager/Sound, video & game controllers?

Actually it looks very similar to that one but not the same exact one. The backplate does have connectors which is where I've always put my audio devices in the past but I wasn't having any luck there so I tried on top of the tower by the power button just to see if that did anything and still no luck.
After a while I decided to see if the monitor had an aux port cuz I remembered that my computer has always detected the monitor as an audio output device but the actual monitor itself has no built in speakers I don't think.
In the device manager under "sound, video and game controllers" it has 3 different items:
-NVIDIA High Definition Audio
-NVIDIA Virtual Audio Device (Wave Extensible) (WDM)
-Realtek(R) Audio

Also just in case it helps I have made sure windows is completely up to date and I've tried to make sure I have all current audio drivers.

sure the sound isn't just muted?
Realtek audio should be the rear speakers. It controls analog, won't do blue tooth.

Do you just have stereo speakers? so only 2 cables to attach? (I have had 5.1 speakers for so long I forget how stereo attaches)

Are you sure motherboard has blue tooth? It can be a pain to pair devices even if it does.

did you try these steps?

Yeah I was always checking to make sure that nothing was muted.
The speakers I am using actually only use one aux cable and then the power cable and yes I believe they are just stereo speakers. I've always just put that aux cable into the green aux input in the back panel on previous computers but no luck with the new PC unfortunately.
As for wether or not the motherboard can even handle Bluetooth, I'm not sure tbh.
Also I have tried every item on that list in the article you gave me except the last one because I had no issue with input or microphones.
Could it be possible that maybe the aux inputs in my tower might be bad? But if that were the case it shouldn't be showing up at all as an audio output device on my PC right?
