[SOLVED] No audio trough hdmi: nvidia output not plugged in (hdmi, geforce gtx 1650)

Hello,

With a Geforce GTX1650, I have the hdmi cable connected to my monitor, and the headphones connected to the monitor.

Why Windows 10 is telling me, in control panel, sound, that the hdmi is not connected (so I get no sound) ? "NVIDIA output NVIDIA High Definition Audio Not plugged in" Nvidia High definition audio shows working on device manager.

I've tested also to change it to the generic one that comes from Windows 10, as suggested in other forums, but none worked. I have installed Windows 10 from the scratch, and the latest drivers at July, 30, 2021.

What monitor are you connecting?
Some do not have HDMI-headphone capabilities. you must use a standard audio plug from computer to monitor.
