Question No boot, cpu fan at full speed, 5 short beeps

hi,

my computer turned off out of nowhere when i was just browsing the web and now it doesn't turn on. the CPU fan starts and keeps running at full speed despite no post & no boot, with 5 short beeps playing at 10-15 seconds after i press the on button.

from what i've read the 5 short beeps may indicate a CPU error, but i don't understand what could have happened. if it helps today it was raining and the power went off 1-2 times but the power was completely on when i was using the computer. already followed this guide, but didn't remove the cpu or the fan yet because i don't want to mess up the thermal paste. any ideas?

unfortunately no

somehow i got the pc up and running just by letting it off the plug for an hour and turning it on later, no clue on what happened. just to make sure, I've slowed down the RAM clock from 3000 MHz to 2800 MHz on BIOS, I don't know if my mobo was handling it well.

I doubt its a ram issue

It sound like a CPU issue. Is it over clocked ?
