Hi.
Sorry to hijack your thread, but I have similar problem, so I though I would here.
I built new PC, only case and PSU remaining from the old one. When I plug my monitor in VGA, it works great, but with DVI, I get 'No signal'.
Here are the specs:
AMD Athlon(tm) X4 740 Quad Core Processor
ASRock FM2A78M-HD+
MSI R5450 (Radeon 5450) with Radeon drivers
Codegen 400W 300X (PFC)
OS: Ubuntu Linux 14.04 LTS
Monitor: AOC i2269vw
What I tried so far:
- Installed AMD proprietary drivers, installed Windows with drivers included with graphics = NO CHANGE
- Plugged monitor to another PC = WORKED
- Plugged graphics to another PC (with same monitor) = NO CHANGE
- Plugged graphics to another PC (different monitor) = WORKED (this one was tested in the shop where I bought the graphic card)
- Replaced PSU (with TechSolo STP-650) = NO CHANGE
- Replaced DVI cable = NO CHANGE
- Flashed BIOS = NO CHANGE
- Used different monitor = WORKS
What could be causing the problem?
I have another problem, but I don't think it is correlated: My OS would freeze occasionaly for few seconds, then work again. This was happening with my previous PC as well, so I replaced HDD, with no change. If this is of any help.
