Question No power after changing position of new NVMe SSD ?

I just upgraded my PC with pretty much everything except GPU.

Asus ROG strix b650e-f
Ryzen 7 7700
Kingston fury 32 gb ram 6000
Corsair 850w full modular gold psu
Samsung Evo Pro 980 1tb M.2 NVMe SSD

So first I installed everything and put the NVMe SSD in the second M.2 slot by mistake.

When I boot up the PC to install Windows the bios couldn't find the NVMe SSD.

My first thought was that I hadn't installed correctly. So I took out the GPU and changed the NVMe SSD to the first slot (directly down from the CPU), then put the GPU back and the power cables.

Then I turn on the power and no it doesn't power up at all.

So I moved the NVMe SSD back to it's previous position but again no power.

What gives? I'm trying 3 hours now and I'm losing my patience.

Thank you in advance

Can you show a photo of your system with side panel removed?
(upload to imgur.com and post link)

Probably forgot to connect something - like cpu 12V power
or forgot to turn on PSU switch.
Ok do you want with the GPU installed or without ??

Also just to say, that it doesn't smell burned or I haven't seen any flash or anything that would suggest fried part

I put the CPU fan in the correct header and still nothing .I'm losing hope
Make sure the PSU is on and the power cable is properly connected on the PSU and wall outlet.
Are you using the case power button? Is the wire connected properly?
Try shorting the power button contacts on the motherboard with a flat screwdriver.

any of the q-led light up?
no power to the motherboard at all?
No power at all! No led indicator, nothing.
Thing is that before I changed the position of the nvme it turned on. Then I changed the position and I out my GPU back and that was it. It's just doesn't want to turn on

Nope nothing. I'm starting to believe that some part was faulty
Are you using all original modular PSU cables?
You can not use modular cables from a different model PSU.

Check PSU power switch. You may have turned it off.
Check power cable from PSU to wall.

Check cable from case power on switch to motherboard.
The cable may have dislodged.
Try starting your pc by bridging power_on contacts on motherboard.

Disconnect all drives and front panel connectors - USB, USB3, Audio.
