Question No power to display or usb ports

Hello, I installed an AMD FX 8320 which was an ugrade from the FX 4300. Once done the PC turned on, fans and lights all had power however the gpu fans were not spinning, and no power to displays or usb ports. I switched back to the FX 4300 and everythihg was back to normal working fine. Is this a PSU issue where it can not support the system with the CPU upgrade?
Specs are:
MSI 970 gaming
Radeon RX 480 8gb
AMD FX 8320
Kingston DDR3 16gb ram
EVGA 600w Bronze psu
2tb hdd
128gb ssd
Coolermaster masterliquid 240 rgb

Put your fx4300 back in and check that the current bios level supports the 8320. My guess is that it doesn't and an upgrade will fix the issue.

Ive done the most recent update for the bios, or is there someting else to do with the bios? If so how would i check if the current bios level supports the 8320? Thanks.

If you've got the most recent motherboard bios installed, then I would double-check the supported cpu list and make sure the cpu stepping is exactly the same as the supported one.

Everything appears to match but how do i check cpu stepping?

a utility like CPU-Z should be able to display this info
it'll also be on the original box if you have it

I can only check the stepping for the 4300 as the 8320 isnt working and it appears to match everything including the stepping of the 8320 (found a video of someone using cpu-z on their 8320)
