Hi- I am building my first computer, and I have encountered a problem. When I tried booting up the PC connected to my monitor via DVI from the graphics card output, the monitor receives no signal. It stays asleep, or if I manually turn it on, it says no signal. I know the monitor works, however, because the other computer in our house works with it.
My motherboard is a ASROCK N68C-GS FX and my graphics card is a XFX 7850 2gb. CPU is a FX-6300. PSU CORSAIR|500W CX500 R, RAM MEM 4Gx2|PATRIOT PVI38G186C9K R. What do I do?

PLEASE HELP! SO CONFUSED! :(
Thanks in advance.

Well if you're building a computer, first thing you need to do is make sure you have updated drivers for all components, in this case the video card. Will your monitor plug directly into your motherboard? Does that give you picture?

If so, download the latest Catalyst drivers for your card and see if that makes it work for you. If it doesn't, then you might have a more serious problem and we can go from there.
