No sound realtek hd

So basically right now on my computer I am getting no sound when ever I am watching youtube videos and any other sound but whenever I do this https://gyazo.com/218219c877cf962166a6144d9666c947 in the sound settings and click on the bar i hear the windows click noise. NEED HELP NOT SURE WHATS GOING ON UGH. Also on Realtek since my brother broke my headphone port on the top of computer, I use the mic port and usually I would be able to simply change it whenever I plug it in and make it act as a headphone but yea, still can't hear anything

Ok.

First of all what are you using for sound output 2.1 speakers or a 5.1 surround sound set of speakers.
And where do you have the 2.5mm jack for sound output connected too.

The rear of the computer from the main I/O input and outputs for audio from the motherboard.

If you get no sound from the Realtek HD audio from windows.

Right click on the speaker icon on windows desktop.
Select playback devices.
Make sure Realtek HD audio is selected as the default playback device.
If it is

Right click on Realtek HD audio again.
And select configure speakers.

If you have 2.1 speakers connected, or stereo speakers make sure it is selected.
If you have a 5.1 speaker setup, make sure you select 5.1.

If you select the wrong type of speaker configuration for what you have plugged in ie: 2.1 but 5.1 selected as the speaker setup in windows sound it is why you do not get any playback sound from VLC player, or when playing any youtube video TheMohammadmo
