You know Android system updates are generally controlled by the carrier or the manufacturer, right? Just because there's a newer version of Android out there, doesn't mean the carrier or phone maker will OTA the new update to you. And MS will release patches, but not entire OS upgrades, so Android wins out there. I don't think i've ever seen a Win Mo 6.5 phone update itself to Win Phone 7. But i've seen a lot of Android 2.3 devices go up to 4.x in one quick swoop.

And good luck with the Android dying thing. If anything kills Android, it sure as hell won't be Win Phone 8.
