Not recognizing drives

Hello,
i purchased the drive boost on wednesday and am still unable to get any of my drives to recognize a blank cd, dvd, or usb drive

What kind of drives are you talking about? A hardrive or disk drive would not recognize a usb drive, no idea what your talking about.

Sorry if I was unclear -- I was trying to copy QB data files and Word documents from the hard drive (C) on to either a cd in Drive D or E OR to a USB stick drive (F). The computer kept telling me it does not recognize the "drives". I tried getting another type/brand of cd, but they did not work either.

Sorry again for not being clear -- I was trying to copy data files from QB and Word to cds that were in Drives D and E, as well as to Drive F which is a USB port. When trying to copy to any of the drives, the computer tells me the drives dont exist.

What OS? What software is used to burn files to the CDs or DVDs?

Windows XP is the OS. I will have to check tomorrow when I get to work to find out exactly what the software is. I haven't always had this problem. I haven't added any new programs. The problem began around October 2011.
