Not Sure anymore about What PSU to get...

Ok (Im not Sure if I picked the right Catagory):

So I have a Dell e510 and want to upgrade my GPU to a nVidia Geforce 9800GT Superclocked graphics card from a Geforce 7300LE. And ill need to upgrade my PSU because the PSU that I have in there right now is only a 305 Watter and doesn’t have the right cable anyways (A 6 pin PCI-e). The 9800 GT Superclocked requires 6 pin PCI-e cable and I think at least 400 Watts... So I’m now at a dilemma of what PSU to get that will be compatible to my computer!! So if anyone can help me that would be great!

Yes it will bottleneck my:

Dell Dimension e510
Pentium 4 3.2GHz
1T of Hard Drive space (One 250G and one 750G)
3 Gigs of RAM
(Right Now)Geforce 7300LE
305Watt PSU
24" Monitor (Viewsonic)
Rez: 1920x1080

I thought the Dell 305W did have the PCIe 6pin plug? Double check it, it should be there. Also double check that you have the same 305W that I'm thinking of. Should have 22A on the 12V rail, which is enough for a 9800GT.

The Dell 510 uses a standard ATX psu, the Antec EA380 or 430 (if you really think you need more power ) work well.

Pointless with such a dinosaur of a processor - even a Pentium D would bottlekneck everything - dont bother with anything more then a ATi 4350/3450 or 8400/9400gs Nvidia card for that rig.

It does but it doesnt have a wire in one of the 'hole' pinny things. And the cord is REALLY short like 2 inches short.

Will either the corsair or the Antec have the nessesary power connections for two disk (Optical) drives? One is a 32x Dvd Writer and Cd Writer and the other is a normal cd/dvd combo...

Whats the point of having a 22A 12V PSU with no 6 pin plug? Go for an adapter?

Most of the new 9800 GTs are low power and don't need a power connector. They should be fine with your current PSU and the difference in performance between these cards and the "super clocked" card you are talking about will be wasted on your CPU in any case.
If you go to newegg you can tell the low power versions of the card just by looking at the pictures and if you don't spot a power connector it should be fine for you.

Lol, all the versions of the 9800GT all need the 6 pinner, and i cant find a 8800GT still being sold! Which is the one that i would get next... And i dont want to go any lower... WAS going to get the 7900GT BUT they ran out this weekend (Right as a was going to buy it ;aO) so I cant go for that baby anymore and it was only 50$!!

So back to my other question will one of those PSU's work for my computer with two optical drives?

Yes, my OCZ PSU has 3 SATA connectors.

It..I don't personally own it. I'm just saying I can vouch for the PSU I'm recommending because it does what you need it to.

Does anyone know if the 1g is better than the 512 for the GPU... Will it help in anyway to relieve the bottleneck that ill have going, ill get the 1 gigger since its the same price on newegg (Same Price of the Superclocked) if it would help better than the overclocker.

Thanks for the links JV. I had no idea they had these 9800GTs out. I've heard of the low power 9600GTs, but not the 9800s. I always like hearing about new things.

Speaking of not needed, I wouldn't spend the extra money on a 1GB card. Most games only need 1GB if your playing at high resolutions, like 1920x1080 or higher. My 8800GS is able to max out TF2, and use 2AA, and it has only 384MBs of ram. And this is at 1680x1050. Unless the 1GB is more or less the same price, I wouldn't spend extra on it.

Well the PCI-E port provides 75 watts of power so any card without an external power connector likely uses below 70 watts under full load. In terms of amperage you divide by 12(voltage times current = power) so these cards use at most 6 amps on the +12v rail.
