Hey everyone

I am going to be upgrading my ryzen 7 1700x to a ryzen 7 3700. I have a b450 aorus pro wifi mobo and I'm sure if I should upgrade it.

I was looking at a msi x570 mobo for 170 dollars, not sure of it would really benefit me though. Can some people comment other motherboards that would be good for the ryzen 3000 series, I don't won't to spend more then 200 dollars thanks.

PS I have g skill trident z 16g ram

MB has decent VRM, no reason not to boost high enough but 4.4GHz is not guaranteed, depends on many factors, 4.35 -4.37GHz on one core is more than likely.

In my honest opinion, there's no need to upgrade your mobo at all. Everything will work just fine with the processor you intend to buy, just don't forget to update the BIOS before changing processors.

Okay do you know if I will be able to turbo boost the cpu to 4.4hz. Because on my mobo you can only manual set the vcore voltage to +0.204

I would wait until USB4 shows its head but that might not be till end of year or early next year its going to be the next gen and be around for quite some time., making all current models obsolete I think ASRock have it but thats about it (thunderbolt)
