Nothing is being stored or deleted

hello i have a seagate 1.5tb external drive and nothing is storing or deleting off of my drive, is there anything i can do to fix this?

So seems you can't write to the disk
Isnt' there a switch/button on your external HD for write protection ?

Do you get an error message or after copy/delete operation or there's simply no effect after you copy/delete
What's your operating system?

Otherwise this may be serious hardware failure
