Novice-Need advice on which driver to buy

I don't know which driver to buy. I have a gateway PIII, 450mhz, win98. (if that matters) I only have an 8mb driver & now I have these gray vertical lines across my screen where text is, so I think my card is bad. I want to be able to play racing games (Sprint Cars, by Ratbag), and I don't do much other graphic stuff. I was told 32mb would be a good upgrade. I don't want to spend over $200. My knowledge about drivers is limited, so any advice would be helpful. Thanks.

Novice? Even a novice should know that you don't buy drivers, you buy cards. Get a Visiontek GeForce2 GTS 32MB DDR card on Pricewatch.com for a mear $163, or get a GeForce2 MX with about 2/3 the speed and TV-OUT for around $130. The drivers are free, unless you want to pay me for them.......
