Question NV ME2

A novice to hard ware intricacies.

I am interested in installing NVME ssd in my desk top. Can someone please tell me what are the minimum supporting requirements for the NVME in terms of RAM, Motherboard, Processor etc. My PC is quite old (with 2 GB Ram and Intel DG965RY), though working well.

In simple terms, your motherboard needs an M.2 expansion slot of the relevant interface.
Which the DG965RY board does not have.

Only the newer boards (DDR4) will have M.2 slots available.
If you want an SSD, you'd have to opt for a standard 2.5 inch form SATA drive.
