Question Nvidia 4070S to Dell 2723 via DP Not Working - Tried everything

Both are brand new. HDMI > HDMI works fine. DP > to HDMI on the monitor works fine, so it seems to be a monitor issue with the DP port.

Cable is brand new 1.4, 8K.

Tried computer resets with cables out, and in, swapped the cable ends - nothing seems to help.

Latest NVidia drivers.

Any suggestions welcome, thanks.

When posting a thread of troubleshooting nature, it's customary to include your full system's specs. Please list the specs to your build like so:

OS:
Monitor:
include the age of the PSU apart from it's make and model. BIOS version for your motherboard at this moment of time.

If the RTX4070 Super was an upgrade from a prior discrete GPU, did you run DDU prior to replacing the discrete GPU for the RTX4070 Super? You've stated your monitor in the thread title to be the Dell 2723, can you pass on it's SKU?

Yes it was an upgrade, and no I didn't run DDU.

I can't find the SKU but the full model number is P2723DE.
