Hey guys,

So I connected my laptop to a monitor via HDMI. When I open nvidia control panel, there is no display settings which i need. Ive read that i have to disable my integrated graphics card. After i disabled the integrated card, now i cant even open the nvidia control panel.
Any advice?

Solution
well, this shows you can set it to run specific programs - https://support.lenovo.com/au/en/so...on-machines-running-nvidia-optimus-technology
this shows it has switchable graphics - https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/so...witchable-graphics-on-ideapad-laptops-windows - which is not to be confused with being able to use Nvidia card, that means it switches between cards based on programs, it will use Intel more often.
this seems to indicate it won't work - https://forums.tomsguide.com/thread...-intel-hd-graphics-card-from-the-bios.434625/

what laptop?
Most laptops with 2 GPU (igpu & external) use igpu for desktop and the Nvidia gpu for games/high demand graphical processing.
You sure you can run yours on just the Nvidia?
It is a lenovo ideapad 330. it has a gtx 1050. how can i check if i can run it only with the gtx?
