Nvidia driver 84.21

Hi guys,
I downloaded this driver today to update my existing driver 81.98 but when I tried to install this driver 84.21 and got error that .exe is corrupt. This concerns me as I got this driver frm www.nvidia.com and tried to download frm mirror site same problem.
At this point I'm unable to install or update my exisiting driver, mu gpu BFG 6600GT 128bmDDR3.
How can fix this .exe file or is there a website can I download a good file
By the way I did uninstall existing driver 81.98 tbefore installing new one and disbale virus scan as well.

You are not by chance using an Asus board with the Firewall installed are you? I got an A8N SLI premium board and installed the firewall software that came with the mb. It corrupts all the files you download!

I had to uninstall all my drivers and start over. Do not install that Firewall.

Prob not your problem, but sounded familiar

I am using an Asus board A8N-SLI Deluxe and I hve nvidia firewall installed thks I will uninstall firewall right now and try to reinstall drivers and let you know

DFI Lanparty Ultra nforce4 SLI with nvidia firewall installed too, it corrupts all my downloads. That firewall blows.

You will need to do the following to get this fixed:

1) Enter your BIOS and disable the Hardware Firewall
2) Uninstall your current ForceWare Drivers
3) Download and Install the 84.21 ForceWare Driver pack

I would follow dude79's post, but what kind of pc are you running this video card on?

the 89.98 driver is for the mobile gpu's and the 84.21 is the newest driver for the desktop pc's. Sounds like you might of had a wrong driver one way or the other. If you do have a desktop and not one of the mobile gpu's uninstall that 89.98 driver and replace it with the 84.21. OoOps!!!
