Hi everyone, I hope I can get help from here. This issue is now driving me crazy and the hard part is that I can't get my hands physically on the laptop. I am helping a friend who lives on the other side of the country whose laptop has been acting strange after ahe brought the laptop over to be downgraded from Win11 to Win10 after her Valorant install would crash on start as advised by the technicians over there. After that, she took the laptop home only to find that all other games are not starting up. So she brought the laptop back to the shop and THEY DID ANOTHER REINSTALL, same thing games crash and would sometimes cause blue screen.

This is when she called me for help and asked if I could remotely troubleshoot her laptop. So after doing some digging, I found out that the AMD RX Vega GPU driver was old (2020 release) which was installed by windows update. So I used DDU to remove the drivers and installed the newest version at this time (Dec 2022). And voila, games are working, not a single hiccup. So I was confident that I fixed the issue and it DID after 2 days where she contacted me again and the issue recurred, so I checked and windows update somehow got through and reinstalled the 2020 update again. So I repeat the process and now games are not running. Add to that, the NVIDIA GPU disappeared for no reason I could think of.

I tried the Armoury Crate fix and the GPU power-saving option was not present. I tried to use the RESET THIS PC option (remove everything option) and still the NVIDIA GPU cannot be detected.
