quaad 8200

im using 400w psu
n card requires 450w
could it be a reason
plz suggest

what is your GTS250 exact model? btw if you're upgrading your PSU make sure you get the one with good quality. it may be a bit expensive compared to the generic one but you won't regret it. although nvidia recommend to use 450w PSU with the card you should get the one with 500w or 550w just to be safe. have a little bit of extra on the PSU is not going to hurt since it will give you a bit more headroom

chill guys iv got a point of view gts 250.........its specifications on net r same as normal gts 250
the final question is
is my psu makin my card work like idle showing less cores, bandwidth
srry fr trouble
thts the best brand available in my area

as i suspected. your card is green edition one. normal GTS250 have 738mhz for the core and yours only 675mhz. other spec are below normal GTS250 as well to prove this. btw your PSU will not effect your card specification by any means.

To cut it short you basically have a 9800gt that can sli with a normal 9800GTX/GTS250
same gpu core, same driver, same micro code, and instruction but just a different bios. These were only around in small numbers as they weren't very popular. You can either live with the card as it is or upgrade later. By the way upgrade that psu period.

not sure why it has less sp though but normally green edition card are made out of chip that cannot meet the normal spec. this is one way to sell those chip rather than left it unused. maybe the bandwidth is not the same as 9800GT but we expect the card to perform pretty much the same as 9800GT
