Nvidia sheild controller wont work with windows 10? Please help

Can someone help me as this is driving me crazy. I got a sheild controller for my sheild tablet but want to use it on my pc when i connect it up with a cable. At first it kept beeping on and off but i think its because it was so low on battery.

Now it connects but In devicies and printers menu it shows a mouse icon with nvidia controller v01.03. If i right click and go to controller settings for calibrating it shows no controller in the menu its driving me crazy. Can anyone help?

Did you read through this thread? Once you do get it working, you should disable automatic device driver updates since that causes a mish mash of drivers to come through and wreak havoc on the system.
