Nvidia Starts Taking Pre-orders for Tegra 4-powered Shield

If I remember correctly Nvidia will also release some kind of software that will allow you to stream your games from your PC to this device, though the image will be compressed. I honestly can't believe they will be releasing something so gimmicky.
 
I would rather buy a Playstation Vita then this thing its highly over priced and the concept is flawed vision impaired people aside this thing reminds me of a clam shell makeup kit. lol
 
This does seem a bit overpriced for something that only works on WiFi. I demoed this at PAX East was playing Skyrim that was streaming from a PC and it worked really well. I was talking to the nVidia guys and I said I would pay about 200 for it. It has no exclusives, no modem, and needs at least a six series card for streaming from PC. Anything more that 200 would be overkill. It is a really cool concept to be able to output to a TV to play PC games, but as mentioned above there are much cheaper ways of doing that already. I think it will be a flop.
 

i would buy itt if better price and it worked on amd card or i could buy a nvidea card for it maybe ?
