I just bought a new, asus ROG strix itx x570 motherboard along with new ryzen cpu. I'm currently taking my m.2 samsung 960 pro from my old computer and trying to install it on my new computer. I saw a video that stated when you have a windows installation on a boot drive already then during a new installation process windows will gather the necessary drivers for any new hardware and then boot as normal. What I wanted to double check on is that I intalled the m.2 drive in the new motherboard and the bios is reading my cpu and memory fine but when I click advanced it says that no NVMe drive is detected. Do I need to try and install windows on my new machine first before this drive will be detected? Or how does that work?
