Question Nvme + sata ssd on B450M?

Hello
I have a msi B450m Gaming Plus and using already 2 SSD on Sata. Can I add an nvme ssd or there are compatibility issue using both sata and nvme m2?

Looking at the manual it doesn't appear that it disables any SATA ports so you should be good to go.

Sure, but change the sata slot to SATA2 or sata3 because when you activated nvme m.2 the system will disable 2 sata port at least like sata0 and sata1

It will disable HDD too? I have 2 SSD and 2 HDD hooked to Sata
I think I will take a Sabrent 2280 1tb, they look like super speedy

Did you check his motherboard manual before saying what you said in this thread?

There is nothing saying that plugging a NVMe will disable SATA ports. Normally the manual includes that information when it does.

When using a drive in an M.2 port, some motherboards will disable one or more SATA ports. Some will not.

Always look at what the manufacturer says.
In this case, neither the spec sheet nor the User Manual state it disables any SATA ports.

If it were to disable, it would probably be stated on pg 11 or 12.

Considering B450 Chipset in midrange of AMD lineup it'll have some limitations in feature compare to X470 or even X570
Just some fact even from more premium B450 board like tomahawk or aorus or carbon have limitation

I live in Lebanon and will buy the Sabrent ssd from amazon France, so I prefer to be sure it will not disable other SATAs

On this particular motherboard, it appears that use of an NVMe drive in the M.2 port does NOT disable any of the SATA ports.
