Question NZXT Kraken X62 vs X72

Hello,

I am thinking about going with either an NZXT Kraken X62 or X72 to cool my i7-9700K overclocked to 4.7GHz. Does anyone have any recommendations as to which one I should choose? Money is no issue here as I am simply wondering which would give me greater performance. I've seen reviews, such as one by GamersNexus, in which the X62 consistently did better than the X72. Could anyone explain why? I realise the X62 has two 140mm fans compared to the three 120mm fans on the X72, but surely three 120mm fans would perform better than two 140mm fans, even if only marginally? Is there any reason to go for the X72 over the X62?

Oo, that's hard. 280mm and 360mm AIOs perform VERY similarly according to benchmarks.

Really it is just a personal preference, go with whatever you want in terms of looks LOL.

I'm not sure why they perform so similarly, I just know that once you go from two 120mm fans to three, you get diminishing returns.

280 vs 360 are often a toss up, mostly depending on what fans are used. Most of it will depend on whether your case supports a 280 (2x140mm) or 360 (3x120mm)...or if either are supported.

They are relatively similar overall volume when you compare dimensions.

280 AIO: 140mm x 30mm x 280mm = 1,176,000 cubic mm
360 AIO: 120mm x 30mm x 360mm = 1,296,000 cubic mm
