Hi to all,
Yesterday, I made an experiment.
I have installed Windows Server 2012 R2 on a PC, on which were connected 2 disks: one (the 256GB SSD) was the boot disk of my Windows 10 and the other (160GB hdd) was the empty disk, on which I wanted to install WS 2012 R2.
Once I have finished installing the OS on the 160GB, I have turned off the pc, disconnected the SSD but at the boot, after the BIOS, this appears to me:

- (blinking)

It's like it can't find the OS.
But, when I plugged the SSD with the 160GB hdd, the OS start perfectly.
Even with the 160GB disconnected and the SSD plugged in, Windows tells me to choose which OS starts but when I select Windows Server 2012 R2, it returns to do the blinking -
Can someone please help me or have any solutions to this?
Many thanks.

Yes, this is what happens when more than one drive is connected during the install...:(
The System Reserved partition ends up on the other drive.

If this is a brand new install, I'd just redo it. This time, with only the desired drive connected.

I have to install WS 2012 R2 on the 160GB hdd, not on the SSD.
So, if I make a new install on the HDD, with only the HDD connected, I will not have anymore the message on the SSD?
