Hi

Reading the many forums on the net about people tweaking the hell out of everything to get a few frames here and there...is it worth it...look it is simple the game needs a high end machine to enjoy as intended...if you dont have at LEAST a P4 2.6 with 1Gb ram and a 6800GT its not going to be worth running... I struggle at times with 1280x1024 with most setting on high but shadows turned off and HDR enabled...it looks fine to me and runs an avarage of 30 FPS outside with a min of 20 FPS in heavy fights or many poeple on screen (just acceptable to play) and 50 - 60 FPS indoors... so that being said its never going to be a consistant FPS regardless which is a shame.

At first I was disapointed with the FPS for a machine that cost around $2,600.00 AUS but it seems everyone including those with better machines are having FPS drops in some places so I think the game shuold have been better tested to perform with hardware.

I have a XFX 7900GT 520Mhz factory OC, AMD 64 x2 4200+, Corsiar XMS3200, 2048MB, 2-3-3-6, AMD AK8N-SLI premuim, Western Digital 74Gb raptor, with a 3DMark 06 score of 4979 and I think my FPS are fair enough after reading up on the trouble people are having its a shame when you can go get an Xbox 360 for the cost of the card and play it the same if not better on a HD tv 🙁 also the game doesnt seem to detect the 7900GT cards?

For me at least I feel al little cheated by this games heavy performance hit on what is really a decent system I hope this isnt the future of PC gaming otherwise we will all be poor.

Yeah, but then you've got to factor in the cost of the HDTV too, lol. I think consoles have their strong points (god I LOVE playing Burnout on Xbox), but when it comes to FPS and RPGs, I -NEED- that keyboard and mouse.

Some games feel right at home on a console, but others require the PC to feel right to me.

HA! I have a 2.26 P4 with 512mb of ram and a GeForce 5600. I get an average of 9 fps on 640x480 in a window, but I have still put in about 16 hours of playing time in the 24 hours that I have had it. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed. I do plan to get a 6600GT or get a gigabyte of ram soon though. I just don't know which would give me a bigger performance boost.
