Hokay,
This is what I've got(in a couple days):
Antec Nine Hundred
Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4
Q9450 Yorkfield 2.66GHz
XIGMATEK HDT S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler
Corsair TX750W ATX12V
CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
Radeon HD 4870 512MB
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB
Currently, I'm planning on squeezing out 3.2 on my 9450 with the FSB at 400, giving me the golden 1:1 fsb-ram ratio. However, I'm thinking that's just not enough
I've been thinking about 3.6 with an FSB of 450. What I'm concerned about is the RAM.
1.) Is it really important to have that 1:1 ratio? What kind of performance hits will I see if I leave this RAM at 800 or get some 1066 RAM?
2.) Would it be best to OC my 800 RAM to 900 or just get the 1066(and downclock it while tightening timings?)?
3.) Do I need anything special for OCing the above RAM?
