Hokay,

This is what I've got(in a couple days):

Antec Nine Hundred
Gigabyte GA-X48-DS4
Q9450 Yorkfield 2.66GHz
XIGMATEK HDT S1283 120mm Rifle CPU Cooler
Corsair TX750W ATX12V
CORSAIR 4GB (2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800
Radeon HD 4870 512MB
Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 ST3500320AS 500GB

Currently, I'm planning on squeezing out 3.2 on my 9450 with the FSB at 400, giving me the golden 1:1 fsb-ram ratio. However, I'm thinking that's just not enough :D
I've been thinking about 3.6 with an FSB of 450. What I'm concerned about is the RAM.

1.) Is it really important to have that 1:1 ratio? What kind of performance hits will I see if I leave this RAM at 800 or get some 1066 RAM?
2.) Would it be best to OC my 800 RAM to 900 or just get the 1066(and downclock it while tightening timings?)?
3.) Do I need anything special for OCing the above RAM?

800ddr2 should easily go to 900... you can always get the 1066... i would get the 1066, or get some mushkin redline's... or wait till they have the ascent cooling, don't know how good it's gonna be

I have a very similar setup and I'm at 3.2ghz without any voltage changes so I think 3.6 should be doable. The way that I understand it heat/timings/voltage is going to be the limiting factors. I have Corsair XMS dominator DDR2 800 and I haven't taken it about 800mhz but I'm sure it could. Might have to losen the timings a bit and since your HSF doesn't blow air down onto the chipset maybe get an Antec SpotCool to help keep the ram cool. Other than that, have fun and see what you can squeeze out of that setup.
