So, what kind of cooling do i need? Motherboard will be a GA-P35-DS3.

Will probably be overclocking the CPU to 8x400 to match the ram.

could do it on stock cooling tbh to get it to 3.2 anyway or 8x400.

If you wanna get higher than that like 3.6 or even higher tbh invest in a good thermalright ultra 120 or zalman cpu cooler.

E6750 is all in all a very cool running chip tbh. Get some artic silver to if your concerned about temps

I am wondering the same thing. I have a Zalman 9500 cpu cooler and my temps run about 40-45c after i have been using it for awhile playing games. Load temps about 35c~ give or take a few. I am 99.99% going for water cooling, but if there are some air cooling solutions I can go with, I might be willing to change my mind

Best air cooling solution is the Thermalight ultra 120 tbh with a nice 120mm fan on it, but even then i think ur temps will bounce between 35-40.

I OC'd mine to 3.2GHZ then to 3.6GHZ then noticed no difference while gaming, so i bumped it back down to 3.2 and kept it there and the temps are like 15-20 idle and 35-40 full load on both cores.

If you want lower temps tho water cooling would be the way but If ur extreme about cooling check out : http://www.chillblast.com/product.php?productid=16728&cat=119&page=1

Case looks yuk tho 😛

I think the temps could be running a little higher because of the GTS SLi I'm running. I've been hearing more and more about that cooler so I think I might check it out. How about the TEC coolers they reviewed on the site also, has anyone had experience with them either??

couldnt go beyond 3.4ghz even if pushed the vcore to 1.5v,could it be because of my GEIL ddr2 800mhz RAM?

-----------------
e6750@3.4ghz, 1.375v bios, 1.34 vdroop
DS3R, ultra extreme 120
x1950 pro 512/256
2X1 gb GEIL ddr2 800

You getting windows to boot at all omz? u could try slackening ur ram timings and maybe reducing ur mem freq then ull knwo if its the ram thats ur bottleneck

tnx charn, m running it right now with orthos prime,i slacken the ram timings as u suggested, hope this will work all the way.
