I need the BIOS specs for the EP-8kha+ to Run PC2700. At 166 default like its supposed too.It wants 133 no matter what. Its RMA'd but I cant send it till Monday. So I got till then to try and get it right. I know people who have it workin , but I lost the e-mail addy . Any and everything you guys can dish out will be appreciated to the extent of $210. :) .

Hmm did you make sure it's unlocked and not locked on default speeds? Also try CAS 2 first and up the speed to PC2400, it should reflect PC2700 performance CAS2.5.

What do You mean , " make sure its unlocked " the MOBO ? Im not that bright. But I do know enough to fix this. I promise. Im thinking Its my BIOS. Im using the old, default that came with the board. My floppy doesnt work due to a tragic CDR/RW encounter. So I cant flash it the way I know how too. Im stupified. Lemme know how to " unlock" whatever it is. Im pretty sure its locked.
Thanx man..

There is an option in the BIOS that locks any change to FSB speed and others. I dunno the name exactly, but if you notice grayed out RAM options that you need to modify, look for something that is "locked" or Disabled. I was able to change CAS latency on my 8kha+ with no probs.

I can change CAs no prob. if thats what you meant by locked. I have CAS 2, 2.5, and 3 I think as options. Whichever I put it on , it comes up 133 hz, just likw always. With the 166 hz, 2700 ram in it. I waved the white flag allready.. its happily been RMA;d. Thanx though. Now Im eying Crucials 2700...will I never learn ???
