Onboard ethernet card causing computer to shut down

please help my computer keeps restarting whenever i connect my network cable.

Did you change any settings to the LAN card? And i think there's a power circuit problem that result your computer to react this way. You might want to get a cheap NIC and install in on your PC. If the same thing happens when you plug on the ethernet cable, I think you most probably will have to change your mainboard.
