Question One of the RAM slots in my laptop is not working ?

Hello.
I have two slots in my laptop where I installed a 16GB and an 8GB RAM stick.
While the total should be 24GB, it shows only 16GB in the BIOS and in Task Manager.
So it only sees the slot where the 16GB stick is installed. I'm already getting 16GB in performance, but in the CPU-Z utility it shows as 24GB.

When I switched the RAM sticks over, only the 8GB one appeared. I will say that the problem is not in the RAM itself but in the slot, but as I said, it also appears in the applications. There is no dirt in the slot but I cleaned it anyway. I did a BIOS update. There is no maximum RAM limit set in MSConfig.
I would appreciate it if you can help me to solve this problem.
