One Question: Is this build any good?

Hi,
Could someone who knows their stuff please tell me if this build is any good? This is my first build and im a bit nervous. I need it to stay cool, look awesome inside and outside, and be fast enough to game at 60+ fps with a skype call and a browser with a few tabs open.

It's very good for the price. You should be able to do what you want it to do and more. A couple questions tho.
1. What games will you be playing?
2. Will you be overclocking? If not, you don't need a k processor or a z97 mobo. If yes, you need a better cpu cooler.
3. PSU is overkill, you could go for a cheaper alternative like these ones. Any of them would support overclocking and are as good as the one you selected (just trying to save you some money)

Once again do not go with Corsair PSU's. They have crappy capacitors and fail early.

Its mainly the CX and VS line that have those issues.

And you absolutely don't need 16gb of ram for gaming+skype+a couple tabs, that's just stupid and unnecessary. I have a worse system, some shit 8gb of ram and game with skype, 10 tabs open at 60+ fps ultra on any game.

The msi gpu is quieter, cooler and performs about the same for 60 dollars less.

Get a newer Z97 or H97 board. The orgianl series of EVGa psus is no where near as good as the 2nd gen so aviod that G1 and get a G2. No real need for a hybrid drive where you already have a SSD. With any ddr3 slower than ddr3 2400 get a CAS of 9 or lower avoid that cheap CAS 10 stuff.

Better, but that EVGA card is way overpriced, plus it uses the orginal ACX cooler which has big problems. If you want EVGA get the 970 FTW card with the acx 2.0 cooler.
