Question Open Tab in same window?

Hello friends,

I am not sure if this was a keyboard command or a setting change but...

Something happened when I open Edge, Firefox or Chrome. My home screen is set to Yahoo, when I click on my email notification in the top right, it would open my email in the same window; now it is opening in a new tab. Not sure what happened.

Can anyone tell me what the fix is possibly?

On Chrome;
chrome://settings/onStartup and see what you have set there.

As for the new tab, might want to read through this;

One more, thing, you might want to use keyboard tester and see if your ctrl key is depressed, which is what triggers a link to open in a new window.

Hello and thank you for the information.

This only happens when I click on the email icon on the Yahoo home page. It now does it for Edge and Firefox. So, I wonder if I accidently hit a keyboard combo while trying to type? Other links on pages do open in the same tab. This is very strange.
