I am looking to get a m.2 nvme drive and i have no idea how to go about this. I am a heavy gamer and its time to switch from HDDs. I got 2 options to choose from and its the Crucial P2 500gb drive and Silicon Power 512gb TLC. Ive heard a bunch of negativity on QLC drives so im not sure which i should go with and ill be running windows 10 on the nvme drive that ill be purchasing. The links for the both drives are posted below. Would be appreciate if i can get some guidance here and information :)

Why are those the only two choices you have?

Besides which, neither of those drives are QLC. They are both TLC. If those are you only choices, I'd go with Crucial, who've been in the game longer than just about anybody when it comes to consumer memory products since Micron (Who IS Crucial) has been doing this since 1978. Silicon power on the other hand, is a relative noobie, and a budget product manufacturer to boot in most cases.

QLC doesn't "suck" it just doesn't have as good of longevity as TLC. But it's less expensive, and still has somewhat decent MTBF and TBW ratings, far exceeding what even the very best early SSDs had, so there ARE reasons for it to exist but I also agree that for me, I'd much prefer an SSD that uses TLC if I have the option and the option makes sense.

Wait, Crucial P2 is TLC ? I didnt know that ha. The reason for these 2 drives its because its the only 2 drives available in my country by multiple suppliers. Currently cant order anything from amazon / newegg / etc due to the current restrictions in my country. If the P2 is also TLC then i might as well just go for it. Would i really notice the difference between The speeds though ?
