Will be using for 1080p 60fps high to max settings. A few frame drops in AAA titles to 45fps or higher is fine. Streaming 720p 30fps to 1080p 60fps depending on the game (still playing at 1080p 60fps). Video editing 1080p footage. Photo editing 4K files. VR with the oculus rift S (haven't ordered it yeet since i'll be broke after I buy this, but hope to get it within the next few months) with 90fps high settings or mid on more demanding titles. 3d rendering using blender. Gaming is my main use so as long as everything else will work fine its good. Want it to last about 2 years untill a gpu upgrade.

Looks good. But can you wait for the ryzen 3000 series? Announcement is at may end computex 2019. Maybe you can buy ur VR and pc together.

Expect the 2000 series to have some price cuts when 3000 series releases.

The build looks good. A Samsung 860 or crucial mx500 ssd instead of that wd bule would be great.

The 580 is good for 1080p 60fps, but dunno about VR. What resolution will the oculus rift S operate?

thanks, I might wait and get a discounted 2000 series chip. Looking at benchmarks the wd seems to be about equal to the 860, but a bit cheaper. I can't find the mx 500 anywhere. I'm aware that the rx580 is a bit on the low side for VR, but the rift performs decently with it and the S has the same resolution
