Hey everyone, first time posting on this forum and I hope to continue reading/helping others.

My question is I recently ordered this cpu http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103582 from newegg on friday. Doing my research about the CPU it seemed to be a very solid product so I ordered it. I recently found out though it wasnt on the CPU supported List on the motherboard manufacturers website.

CPU Support List for GA-K8N-SLI - http://tw.giga-byte.com/Support/Motherboard/CPUSupport_Model.aspx?ClassValue=Mot herboard&ProductID=1928&ProductName=GA-K8N-SLI

I read that it supports its higher end model the Opteron 185 which appears to have the only difference of a 200 megahertz difference Seen here - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819103002

More to the point, do you guys think this setup will work? Cause its not like the CPU is strictly not supported.

Any input on this would be very great.

Thanks,

Jon
