How Is this Revised version (Has All the components i need) This Is really at the edge of my budget and just went up by £10 so tell me if i can change something without compromising long term performance

I'd get the MSI Twin Frozr II OC version of the 7870... it's really really nice.

For the Mobo.... if you're going IB (i5-3750k), get a Z77. Otherwise, this is good.

Now... for the CPU. IB (i5-3570k) is the same as the i5-2500k, but the next generation. However, there have been many, many rumors going around that the i5-3570k is running very hot. I'm assuming they'll have their issues worked out soon, but you WILL NOT be disappointed in the i5-2500k... the difference is mediocre at best. So... going down the list for your criteria:
A)i5-2500k is THE BEST for gaming (meaning realistically without spending a lot of $$$)

B)Great (and I mean GREAT) for overclocking

C)I don't know much about the lifespan because it's only been out for a year! No issues so far, though (not me, I mean in general I haven't heard of any issues)

D) Depends if you're overclocking. It's a great value if you're overclocking (and I seriously suggest overclocking), but if you're not, you're better off with the i5-2400.


Obviously, your GPU is bottlenecking... but there isn't a GPU out there that won't bottleneck the i5-2500k, because CPUs will generally not inhibit GPUs from working. You've got a great build, and I would seriously suggest getting a CPU cooler for overclocking... you won't be able to go far on the stocks with overclocking. I suggest the Hyper 212 series (Evo is best, 212+ will do).

Also, I know many people have concerns about longevity of their CPUs when they overclock. It DOES decrease the longevity a LITTLE (unless you overclock way past the amount your cooler can tolerate), but by that I mean it'll go from... say... 15 years to 10 years. Chances are, you'll upgrade your CPU by then. It's also worth it... really! Don't upgrade to an i7... no realistic difference.

The rumors say the IB CPU's will cost a lot more than SB. It's coming out in 13 days. I suggest waiting to see if it will be expensive or not, and if it is, pick up a SB for a discount. The GPU is not a bottleneck. It's a very good GPU. Get a 600w PSU.

Not a lot more. It'll cost $225 for the i5-3570k (equivalent of i5-2500k). That's the same price as SB when it came out. Also, that GPU is good, but it is still a bottleneck. There is no GPU on Earth that will be bottlenecked by an i5-2500k... but that doesn't mean the GPUs are bad.

Just because a GPU is good doesn't mean it can't bottleneck. Bottlenecking is when one component is held back by the other. CPU > GPU at this point.

600W is enough, but there aren't many at the deal that 750W is. Try Seasonic.

Iv'e never seen that Saphire care do bad in any review. That 7870 is a beast for what it cost.

Sapphires are good.. but MSI Twin Frozr OCs are better (or MSI Hawks). Try to get one of those (7870, of course). Everything looks good! Should be able to max out any game... maybe BF3 would need 4xAA instead of 8xAA to get 60fps, but the rest of games can be maxed out.

The MSI card runs cooler than any other card I know of, but it also comes down to price point. It depends on how much that MSI card cost compared to the Saphire and how much FPS you gain on the o/c of each card. That matters most if your on a tight budget. If your not then it's the MSI card for sure.

My budgets already over so prob will go for one as when i buy my build the offer for sap prob will be over so its not much difference

It's... a difference. But Sapphire won't let you down.
