Optiplex 745 sound stopped working

Hello,
My optiplex 745 sound just stopped working. I've checked the drivers for the sound card, updated, checked the sound card and it shows sound waves.
HELP.

Have you tried with another set of speakers, or even headphones?

After trying speakers, front plug, back plug, new driver.....I wound up having to replace the sound card. The old factory one just went bad .... works great now, $13 at frys.
