Hello,
I need to convert 2 Optiplex gx620's to be able to use dual screens in order to operate our E.H.R. software. the 620's are single core with Pentium 4 towers. The screens will be used to view medical records and x-rays. What name and model of video card will be needed. How can I tell if there is a video card in the computer already.

I am familiar with these optiplex gx620s. Alot of them shipped with radeon x1300 or x600 video cards installed (both of these cards support dual monitor output). The easiest way to determine if a video card is installed is to go to device manager and look at display adapters. Also, you can look at the tower to see if there is a video card inside. All you need is an el cheapo card that supports dual monitor output.

See this link for two cards for $15

These cards, as those that shipped with alot of gx620s need a dms-59 adapter to run dual monitors. These are around $5 each.

Other options abound, just get something cheap that runs two monitors and doesn't have high power supply requirements.

Thank you for the information you provided. I will research it to see what came with the tower. I'm working on a Optiplex 320 now and it has the Radeon 1100. I will follow up with your recommendations.
